UP-BEAT a success!

by Eleanor Ryder on September 5, 2011

A big thank you to all who participated in UP-BEAT activities and supported the project’s efforts to make Bryan/College Station a healthier place to live, work, and play!  While the UP-BEAT project has come to an end, the successes of everyone’s efforts are visible all over town.  In cooperation with the Cities of Bryan and College Station, improvements have been made to the Neal Recreation Center and Lincoln Recreation Center areas.  Go check out new soccer nets, basketball goals, exercise stations, and more!

Have a bicycle but no where to park it? Not so anymore! New bike racks are soon to be available at the Lincoln Recreation Center in College Station, the B-CS Community Health Center on Texas Ave and (more) bike parking in downtown Bryan.  And don’t forget about the walking path in downtown Bryan (you can bike on it, too)!  Need a map? Download one here.

Have you checked out the new safety flooring at The Children’s Museum in the back play area? What are you waiting for? Need more info about the museum? Find them at cmbv.org

Now go Be Active in our Town!
